A near-new penthouse apartment which required life breathed into it for a young corporate couple with very defined contemporary, edgy taste. Input from both partners was strong, but their ability to articulate their needs allowed Denise O’Regan Design to complete their apartment within budget, whilst maintaining a functional inner city home displaying the clear artistic preferences of its residents.

Client comments:
As busy professionals, the task of refurbishing our apartment was somewhat daunting. We found Denise and her team, to be a calming influence who quietly went about the process in full communication with us, achieving results that exceeded expectations.

A 10 year old home in a superb waterfront location, which would indisputably increase in value and liveability with a contemporary facelift. The owners taste for classic modern, and their eagerness to embrace the designers suggestions, meant this beautiful home was dragged into 2008 with style and grace. A new and larger kitchen was installed, interiors restructured, doors and cabinetry designed, bathrooms modernised, and the relevant furniture sourced and imported.

Client comments:
Since we had built our home more than twelve years ago, we thought it was time to renovate and update the interior for a more modern look. At the same time we wanted an individualistic style that incorporated some of our existing furniture.

We contacted Denise for some ideas and advice as to the best way to proceed to accomplish what we wanted to do. Denise was able to come up with all sorts of options for our consideration and, by detailed discussion, help us make our final decisions. Throughout this process, she was always very helpful and professional and quickly tuned into our likes and dislikes.

The tradesmen that Denise recommended were all of the highest standard. They were trustworthy, as well as punctual, and worked in with our personal timetable.
Our makeover is now complete and we are enjoying our updated home. All the modifications have worked out to our complete satisfaction and we are very happy with the result. We have no hesitation to recommending Denise to anyone considering decorating a new home or updating an existing one. Indeed, having seen the result of our update, our daughter has now availed herself of Denise’s service to modernise her apartment in Brisbane.

The brief was to convert an existing commercial storage space within a warehouse, into a reception space for the purpose of greeting international clients. A masculine space with an industrial style was designed. Light was filtered through pinholes cut into metallic panels over windows. Colours were reduced to blood red, black and chrome, against walls of ‘soft sand’. The ‘piece de resistance’ was a glass-topped table designed by Denise, incorporating a pedestal base of chrome bicycle handlebars, hand brakes, and black rubber handgrips.

Client comments:
Denise O’Regan Design completed their commission with a minimum of fuss. We were only too happy to leave Denise and her capable team to proceed with the refit and conversion of our very messy warehouse space.
We now have a reception space we feel only too happy to invite clients to, and an interesting coffee table into the bargain.
